NEW BTA/BOLT THURSDAY Casual, Hike Schedule

Winter hours: 1 to 3 PM (Oct to May)
Summer hours: 9:30 to 11:30 AM (May to Oct)
Meet at noon at Wayne's for lunch; at 1:00 PM (as already stated) at Community Center. Meet behind the Boxford Community Center in Boxford Village for 1 1/2 –2 hours at casual pace for trial checking and maintenance. Bring clippers or loppers if you wish, small trash bag, snack, water and wear sturdy walking shoes. Signage equipment is supplied by BTA/BOLT. Destination is chosen on the day by the group according to trail needs.

BTA/BOLT 2010 WINTER HIKE SCHEDULE-Tuesday Mornings

Meet at trailhead at 9:15 AM. Call a friend to carpool. Hikes last 1.5 to 2 hours. If snow is on the ground, bring cross country skis or snow shoes. Heavy rain or snow cancels. Bring water or snacks if desired and wear comfortable hiking shoes. Call BTA/BOLT office at 978- 887-7031 for questions. Call Steve if uncertain about directions. 2. Chapman way. Park at community center in east Boxford center.

9. Lockwood trail. Park at lot by steel gate on Middleton Rd.

23. Winding oaks trail. Take main St. to Town rd. to Winding oaks. Park at #30.

Mar

2. Phillips Andover bird Sanctuary. Turn off route 28 at Andover Inn & go to dead end.

9. Ward Reservation. Route 125 in Andover, turn south on Prospect St., go to dead end.

16.Harold Parker Forest. Route 125 into Andover, south on Salem St. proceed to park headquarters and park.

23. Wunnegan. Parking lot on Crooked Pond Dr., which is off Moonpenny Dr., which is off Middleton Rd.

30. Boxford State Forest Park at 1st access off Middleton Rd., as you head south, at wire barrier on right.

Thursday Hikes

THURSDAY WALKS (Casual) 9:30 AM in Summer (May-Oct.) and 1 PM in Winter(Nov.-April).
